The last phase of Olympic Qualification i.e. World Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament is being organized at Sofia (Bulgaria). Today, bouts in all 6 weigh categories of Free Style were held. WFI entered following wrestlers for earning quota in remaining 3 weight categories:
- 74 kg. Amit Dhankar
- 97 kg. Satywart Kadian
- 125 kg. Sumit
Amit Dhankar, 74 kg. lost his first bout and eliminated from the competition. Similarly, Satywart Kadian, 97 kg. lost in quarterfinal and eliminated from the competition.
Sumit, 125 kg. has reached in final and qualified for 2021 Tokyo OG. In final he will compete with Russian wrestler Sergel Kozyrev.
In qualification round, he defeated Kyrgyz wrestler by 2-2 points. Later he defeated Moldova wrestler by 2-2 points.
In quarterfinals, he defeated Tajikistani wrestler by 10-5 points and reached in Semifinals.
In semifinal, he defeated Venezuela wrestler by 5-0 points and reached in final and also qualified for Olympics.
