Indian Wrestlers are giving remarkable performance at International level. In the last phase of Olympic Qualification being held at Sofia, one more woman wrestler earned quota for the country for 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games. WFI fielded following 3 women wrestlers for World Olympics Qualification Event:
- 50 kg. Seema
- 68 kg. Nisha
- 76 kg. Pooja
Nisha & Pooja both lost their first bout and eliminated from the competition but Seema, 50 kg. did well and entered into final and qualified for 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
In qualification round, she defeated Belarusian wrestler by 8-0 points.
In quarterfinals, she defeated Sweden wrestler by 10-2 points and reached into semifinals.
In semifinals, she continue gave excellent performance and defeated Polish wrestler by 2-1 points.
